The market is abundant with fresh... read more vegetables, fruits, and spices. Latvian meats, including ham and sausages, local fish and cheese. Tourists can enjoy local dishes like potato pancakes, pelmeni, and drink traditional kvass (non-alcoholic drink) and local 🍺 in cafes and quick-pick stores.

It is HUGE and full of everything from shoes to fish. Well worth taking a moment to get as near to real Latvia as being in Riga allows

  Riga Market trip  - Really interesting market, we went in March and it was quiet, which was good. Different halls had different produce. The outside market is good as well.

  Central Market at Christmas  - Great place we usually visit at Christmas time. Wide choice of everything you need at your table during holidays. Including presents.

  Zeppelin hangers - honestly  - Do look up the history of these buildings - they are former Zeppelin sheds - cut down vertically.
And with a great market inside.

  Well laid out  - Our top attraction in Riga - easy to get to/move around and very interesting.
